We all know that tackling any form of remodel is tough work. However, our designers love to assist any customer. There has been a spike in bathroom remodels in our Hudson location. Upon seeing this trend, we thought we should share some simple tips and a rather fun clip from HGTV.

Tips:

1. Know Yourself- The best way to make any remodel project easier is to know yourself. When we know yourself we mean know what style fits your aestethics. Always ask yourself if you are the following: "Is my style (Contemporary/ Modern, Traditional, or Rustic)?" Just by knowing the style you are trying to achieve saves an immense amount of time and allows your search to be quickly narrowed.

2. Know Your Budget- I always feel that this is the second most important part to any remodel project because it allows you to have a baseline and leads you to the appropriate line of products. I have even witnessed remodlers repurpose antique furniture into vanities to fit their budget easier. It is always good to weigh the longevity of your stay in the location as well as the possible wear and tear your cabinets will run into. All Designers are comfortable working with any budget and are able to help innovate a space that will fit your needs. We seriously want to make you smile at the end of every sale and not put anyone into a cardiac arrest over pricing. Over all, don't be with any designer you encounter when it comes to your budget.

3. Have Some Fun- Explore the options! Get excited! Bathroom cabinets are just like kitchen cabinets. We even have customers using kitchen cabinets in their bathrooms! There are so many options in the form of organization, new technology, and decorative features. It is an adventure to find what will provide the best use for your space for years to come.

4. Take Your Time- Remodeling anything can be stressful. Allow enough time to decide & order your materials. The more time you allow the more options you can explore for creating the ultimate space. Do not get me wrong, but any designer will tell you that when your not stressed the ideas flow more smoothly. So in other words, try not to set unrealistic deadlines. They only leave the remodeling process to feel like a really bad vacation or in the end making you feel like you need a really long vacation.

I hope these four simple tips were of some assistance. Our design team leaves you with a link to the HGTV video that caught our eye. We just fell in love with the two vanities they showed.
