2015 Kitchen Trends

The New Year is approaching fast and with it the latest trends in design will be arriving. All of our designers have been trying to predict what will come to fashion for 2015. Although, the future of design is hard to predict we have come up with a few theories.

Theory #1

The architectural trend in new homes have started to lean on the open floor plan concept which allows rooms to serve various uses. This effects the kitchen by allowing it to move toward serving different functions. So in 2015, our designers see clients wanting a message center, mail slots, and personalized drawers.

Theory # 2

Clients are setting on staying in their homes well into their old age and will need a kitchen that will serve them through the years. In 2014, we some clients considering the life span out of their kitchen. We feel that in 2015 there will be a greater push in an organized kitchen that will make a kitchen easy to operate throughout the years.

Theory # 3

Clean and simple detailing will be the key in design for 2015. This has already started to take effect amongst customers in the reason that it reduces maintenance and allows a kitchen to be timeless. We recognize that our clients are on the go and we foresee customers leaning towards a cabinet that is transitional from ornate details to a more simplistic contemporary look.

Theory # 4

More technology and greener appliances will be incorporated into 2015 kitchen designs. This will raise the multipurpose function kitchens will serve for an on the go family. In addition, greener appliances will make way for an efficient ways to positively affect the environment and your wallet.

Theory # 5

Color palette is naturally moving away from the stark whites and towards creamy neutral palettes. This will allow for kitchens and adjacent rooms to move towards a softer and warmer color range. This palette will include soft earthy tones that reflect colors seen in Mother Nature. 2015 will be the year of warm pastels.

In the end, these are just a few theories that our design department has pooled together. However, what we are dying to know is if any of these theories would pertain to your current or future kitchen remodel.
